Free and shareware sample set downloads
For the benefit of Hauptwerk users and amateur sample set producers, we host some freeware and shareware sample sets in Hauptwerk format, which can be downloaded from the following pages for use with Hauptwerk. We hope you find these sample sets useful and enjoyable.
Terms of use
You must read and agree to the following terms before downloading any of the sample sets we host:
- You must have Hauptwerk installed to be able to use these sample sets. The downloads do not include Hauptwerk itself.
- These sample sets are not our products. We simply host them as a service to users and the makers of the sample sets.
- Each sample set has its own licence agreement, provided by its maker. You must agree to and abide by the sample set's licence agreement if you download a sample set.
- We provide these downloads as a free service. We are sorry that we cannot provide support for these sample sets. If you have any questions about these sample sets, suggestions for improvements, have any problems with them, or need help downloading them, please contact their makers or post to our forum; please don't contact Crumhorn Labs directly with questions about these sample sets since we don't have time to help you with them. The sample set producer's contact details are given with each sample set. Please also remember that some amateur sample set producers may not have time to answer many questions, especially if they are providing sample sets for free.
- These files are very large. You must have a reliable, high-speed (broadband) Internet connection to download them.
- If any 'CRC' or 'unexpected end of archive' errors are reported when trying to install a sample set, then it was corrupted during download. Please simply try downloading the file again if it is corrupted. If you have any other download problems, please try the download again from a different computer or Internet connection. If the web server is busy and you cannot start a download or you keep losing the connection, try again another day. All of the files hosted here have been tested and verified to be valid.
- We host these files as a service to Hauptwerk users only, and this service costs us money to provide. You may only download these sample sets from us for use with Hauptwerk.
- There is a limit to the amount of data that can be transferred each month. Please don't download more than you need, or download files repeatedly, otherwise the limit may be exceeded, which could prevent everybody from using this service, and could lead to us having to stop providing it.
- Please remember the time and work that has gone into making these sample sets, and consider donating to their makers if you are able, and you find them useful. In particular, if you use a shareware sample set other than for evaluation, it is expected that you should pay for or donate towards it as suggested by its provider.
- Please make sure you are running the latest version of Hauptwerk. Not all of these sample sets are compatible with earlier versions.
