Welcome to Crumhorn Labs.

We are a small and dedicated U.K. company, concentrating entirely on developing and producing one advanced, specialist software product: the Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe Organ system.

We are very proud indeed to present Hauptwerk version 3, the pioneering virtual organ system that can bring the experience and sound of playing any pipe organ from anywhere in the world within the reach of almost anyone with a home computer and MIDI keyboard or MIDI sequencer, with incredible realism down to every last acoustic nuance and functional detail, whilst also powering the next generation of electronic digital organs and voice expanders for both classical organs and theatre organs.

The latest news: Hauptwerk version 3.11 is now available, including lots of performance enhancements and other improvements above version 3.00, and building upon the many new and improved features already in version 3. Version 3.11 is a free upgrade to licensed version 3 users. Version 3 is fully supported on Apple Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) and 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista.

We have pioneered the dedicated computer-based organ sampler since 2001, worked very long and hard with sample set producers over a period of years to make the dream of being able to play many different pipe organs at home a reality for the first time ever, and to build up the amazing library of organ sample sets created for Hauptwerk. We also believe we were the first to make a virtual organ available for home use with every note sampled individually for every stop. We strive to make and keep Hauptwerk the most powerful and realistic home computer-based organ system (not necessarily the cheapest), and to keep it on the cutting-edge of technology, whilst still performing very well indeed on older computer hardware.

Hauptwerk is a professionally-developed, professionally-supported and long-term product in which we've invested very heavily, a product we have every intention of developing and building upon long into the future. As you can see from our forum, we are fortunate to have many, many happy customers who consider our support to have been first-rate since Hauptwerk was launched in 2002, and our software has a long-standing reputation for quality, attention to detail and reliability.
